Geothermal Africa is a bold, youth-driven 10-year initiative designed to transform Africa’s geothermal potential into a continental engine of clean energy, green jobs, and sustainable development. It addresses two of Africa’s most pressing challenges: energy poverty and youth unemployment, by empowering the next generation to lead a geothermal revolution.

To mobilize, educate, and empower African youth to become active participants in geothermal development transforming geothermal from a niche sector into a cornerstone of Africa’s clean energy future. 

By 2035, Geothermal Africa will be the continent’s leading youth-centered geothermal network catalyzing sustainable development through education, innovation, and regional collaboration, while contributing to Africa’s energy independence and climate goals.
